Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Garrett Glaus loves investing in the family and community he’s built there. After performing as an artist and teaching students from all over the world, he felt drawn to make more of an impact after multiple members of his family passed away in a short time. Garrett was hired shortly after by one of his student’s families to go overseas and research solutions to the mental health crisis.
Working with psychologists and business leaders, it became apparent that the growing mental health issues were not so much caused by a lack of mental health solutions but a lack of access to those solutions. Garrett and his team have since focused on ways to build bridges between those solutions and the people that need them by creating practical breakdowns of mental, spiritual, and ethical health methods.
Those methods comprise the bulk of Garrett’s speaking material, the rest being his personal experience in recovery from his family’s major loss. Using his decade of experience as a performer an instructor to students from 18 different countries, he brings the energy of his performances along the functional approach of a teacher.
Additionally, Garrett still does music. He is currently finishing up an album with his first single releasing soon, while writing with a variety of different artists and producers in Nashville in the meantime. He also creates music for the games Dancing Line and Dancing Ball World, popular mobile app games. Garrett released “I Miss Who I Am Around You (Demo)” in fall of 2018 to fill the gap between the new releases and his older material, which he took down to record at a higher production quality in Nashville.
